Fire Protection

Smoke & Heat Detection: Smoke sensors above raised data center floors in Raleigh.

VESDA: Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus - the world's leading air sampling smoke detection system - provides the earliest possible warning of a potential fire event by detecting smoke particles at the incipient (first) stage of fire.

Multi-Stage Protection: Pre-action dry pipe system requires alert from two sensors, which activates pipe fill and a final stage when the temperature exceeds thresholds.

 

Physical Security

Entrances: All Raleigh colocation data center entrances (perimeter) require card key access or biometric authentication, along with security sign in. Raleigh Data Center floor and secured areas require card key and biometric authentication (finger print or iris scan)
